The IKEA-inspired hotel lobby
This shot of part of the lobby of the Gothia Hotel & Towers shows the modern IKEA-like style that dominates much of Sweden. Many bars and restaurants in Gothenburg look like this, and the entire conference center followed this kind of design. The only thing missing in this picture is lots of blond hardwood floors, which seem to be the norm (so much nicer than the grubby carpeting which we use in the US!). |
