Model of the Vasa
The Vasa is a 17th century Swedish warship that was unfortunately built
without enough ballast; she sank on her maiden voyage just out of her dock,
and remained at the bottom of the Baltic until the early 1960's when she was
rediscovered, raised, and preserved in a stunning museum.
This picture shows a small scale model of the Vasa as she would have looked under sail. |
